Set Up Your First Test on AutoTester

Now that you’ve created a project, it’s time to test one of your app’s features.

To set up your first test, pick a feature and give it a clear name and short description.

Make sure to include both the functionality and the type of app in the description.
Like “Login for a CRM” or “Checkout for an e-commerce app.”

This helps AutoTester understand your test flow and generate more accurate validations later.

Next, use your app just like a real user would. Click buttons, fill out fields, and complete the flow.

⚠️ If Recording Doesn’t Start or Stops Working​

  • Your app didn’t open in a new tab?
    Make sure pop-ups aren’t blocked in your browser settings.

  • Nothing’s getting recorded?
    Check that the extension is active and you’re on the same browser where it’s installed.

  • Page opened, but is blank?
    Double-check the URL you entered and refresh the page if needed.

  • Recording freezes or breaks midway?
    Try pausing and resuming. If the issue persists, stop the recording and restart.
